Role overview

Classroom care and learning

• Support children's development through diverse activities and supervision; meet individual needs, including feeding and toileting.
• Ensure children's safety and wellbeing; supervise indoor and outdoor play and complete daily risk assessments.
• Follow safeguarding and positive behavior policies; teach hygiene, eating habits, and social skills.
• Prepare materials, activities, displays, and classroom spaces; follow the timetable and cleaning rota.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to children's needs and interests, encouraging observation, questions, and investigation.
• Identify possible emotional, developmental, or health problems and discuss them with the classroom teacher or nurse, then the principal.
• Plan weekly activities with colleagues and attend staff meetings and training; attend special functions when required.
• Use supplies cost-effectively, report lost or damaged materials, and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum qualification: high school diploma.
• Cache Level 2 is listed as a qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of similar experience; 2–3 years is desired.
• A bachelor's degree in Education or English/Arabic language is desired.

Knowledge and abilities

• Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, curriculum development, and pedagogy.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders, parents, and community partners.
• Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with early childhood licensing, regulations, and compliance standards.
