The role involves delivering insights into planning, compliance, and technology, while staying ahead of evolving legislation and digital tax trends. How You’ll Contribute

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate or Manager to join our Indirect Tax Practice in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Value-Added Tax (VAT), particularly within the financial services and insurance (FSI) sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex VAT advisory and implementation projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, including banks, financial institutions, insurance and reinsurance providers, and investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale VAT engagements across the FSI sector, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.

• Provide strategic VAT advice tailored to the unique regulatory and operational challenges of financial and insurance clients.

• Leverage deep knowledge of EU VAT frameworks to support cross-border projects and ensure compliance with international standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement VAT solutions that align with clients’ business objectives.

• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

• Embrace and promote the use of technology and innovation to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

• Uphold the firm’s professional and ethical standards, including compliance with PwC’s code of conduct and independence requirements.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in VAT advisory and compliance within the financial services and insurance sectors.

• Demonstrated expertise in EU VAT legislation and its application to FSI clients.

• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from planning through execution.
