Systems Presales Engineer

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Presales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving business growth by providing technical expertise, designing tailored solutions, and supporting the sales team throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.

You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions across systems integration, virtualization, cloud, and cybersecurity domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze client environments to identify challenges, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Design and deliver compelling technical proposals, presentations, and solution demonstrations.
• Act as a subject matter expert in:
• Systems integration and hyper-converged infrastructure (including Nutanix)
• Virtualization (server, storage, and VDI)
• Data Center & Disaster Recovery (on-premise, AWS, and GCP)
• Backup and replication solutions
• AV and cybersecurity technologies
• Demonstrate strong presales competency in Microsoft security solutions, including:
• Microsoft Defender suite
• Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
• Microsoft Entra (Identity & Access Management)
• Microsoft Purview (compliance & data protection)
• Ensure smooth handover from presales to delivery by working closely with project and engineering teams.
• Support deal closure by addressing technical queries, participating in discussions, and building customer confidence.
• Develop technical content such as solution briefs, case studies, and whitepapers in collaboration with marketing.
• Provide post-sales technical support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
• Apply security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security, and data protection in solution designs.
• Conduct or support security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute feedback to engineering teams for product improvements and innovation.
• Track and analyze presales performance metrics (win/loss, customer feedback, etc.) to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
• Proven experience in a Systems Presales Engineer or similar technical presales role.
• Strong expertise in:
• Hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix experience preferred)
• Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Backup and DR solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, and hybrid environments)
• Networking, storage, and operating systems
• Microsoft security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview)
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, industry standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering, and project teams.
• Relevant certifications (preferred):
• Nutanix (NCP / NCM)
• Microsoft Security (SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, etc.)
• Willingness to travel as required.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Dubai
• Requirement: Candidates should be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before joining.

Pay: Up to AED144,000.00 per year
