Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Linux Administrator (10+ years) to manage, maintain, and optimize a large-scale Linux/UNIX infrastructure.
- This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Linux operating systems, with a primary focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on system performance, security, hardening ,patching,, automation, and high availability to ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure will be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of IBM AIX will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL,Ubuntu etc) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Conduct vulnerability assessments, Patching ,Hardening and remediation in coordination with cybersecurity teams
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
Perform advanced kernel tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting , Ansible or any other automation tool
Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to support business-critical systems.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews for critical system outages.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.
