Primary responsibilities

  • Analyze Missile Defense System performance using test data generated primarily by the MDA Ground Test (HWIL) program.
  • May support analysis of MDA flight-test events, real-world event data, and Golden Dome for America tests.
  • Develop approaches and tools for system-level and element-level MDS performance analysis and produce analysis inputs for official SEA test reports.
  • Present findings during mission data reviews.
  • Coordinate with systems engineering teams, test organizations, warfighters, and element program focal points so tests meet technical intent, assess capabilities, and characterize behavior.

  • Analyze the performance of the MDS kill chain.

Basic qualifications

  • Currently hold an active Secret security clearance; a higher clearance is preferred.
  • Degree and experience performing systems engineering test analysis for the Missile Defense System.
  • Experience documenting and presenting analysis findings.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools for MDS kill chain performance, including sensor acquisition, tracking and discrimination; battle-manager engagement planning and coordination; and interceptor acquisition, tracking and discrimination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience modeling or simulating missile-defense applications or similar areas such as air combat, air defense, target interception, space vehicles, or sub-orbital mechanics.
  • A strong systems engineering or MDS analysis background and demonstrated collaboration and presentation skills.
  • System-level interface design and specification development experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of the Missile Defense System is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Tableau, or similar analytical tools and system testing is desired.
  • Data-science capabilities and the ability to develop tools for analytical tasks are valued; a desire to learn MDS elements and apply knowledge of their behavior is also valued.

Position details

  • Full-time position with a standard work schedule and some flexibility to support customer needs and meetings.
  • Travel is minimal.
