Systems Engineer - Satellite Comms

MDA-UK is looking for a Systems Engineer to work on the design, integration and test of sensor and communication payload products for LEO, GEO, and Lunar satellite systems.

5+ years experience in design, manufacture and test of complex technological systems

Experience working with and developing systems designed for Space environments

Familiarity with formal configuration control methods

Experience with test specification, planning, and procedure development for qualification and acceptance

Experience with optics, optical sensors, and opto-mechanical assemblies

Experience with Zemax OpticStudio or similar optic design software

Knowledge of wireless communications systems from the physical layer processing in the digital domain down to RF and antenna(s)

Familiarity with ECSS standards

Hands on experience of Manufacturing, Assembly and Test
