About The Role
The Systems & Digital Operations Specialist is a hands-on, non-managerial role responsible for the day-to-day administration, reliability, and continuity of TKS digital systems, user devices, and classroom technology.
The role supports teaching, learning, admissions, communications, and school operations.
*IT Systems & Digital Operations*
- Administer and support core school platforms including PowerSchool (SIS), Toddle (LMS), Google Workspace for Education, assessment systems, and communication portals
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with TKS protocols
- Monitor system availability and escalate issues in a timely manner
- Set up, configure, and support school-owned devices including iPads, laptops, and peripherals
- Manage device enrolment, updates, troubleshooting, and lifecycle; maintain accurate inventory records
- Support classroom and shared-space AV systems (displays, projectors, sound, conferencing equipment)
- Assist staff with AV setup for lessons, meetings, events, and assemblies
- Support annual academic year readiness cycles: onboarding, class/course setup, device allocation
- Administer access controls aligned with TKS data protection, safeguarding, and acceptable use policies
- Maintain system, device, and AV documentation; log and track support tickets, licences, and renewals
- ***Operations Support***
- Provide operational support to the Operations team, particularly for technology and AV setup during events
- Support new space readiness and moves involving technology
- Liaise with Academic, Admissions, HR, and Finance teams on systems and operations requirements
- Provide additional support during peak operational periods
Safeguarding
All staff are required to adhere to TKS safeguarding, child protection, data protection, and acceptable use policies.
The successful candidate will handle information responsibly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Essential
- Experience in an IT, systems, or digital operations support role
- Hands-on experience supporting user devices (iPads, laptops)
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Ability to work to defined procedures and escalate appropriately
- Comfortable supporting non-technical users
Desirable
- Experience in a school or education environment
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, PowerSchool, or Toddle
- Experience with AV or classroom technology support
- Exposure to facilities or operations support in an educational setting
