Systems Analyst (Virtualization Engineering)

Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Translate user needs into detailed requirements and help users identify requirements that improve system effectiveness.
• Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems; document current-state and future-state clinical and business processes.
• Assist with vendor analysis and selection; investigate alternatives and feasibility using vendor evaluations.
• Support installation through implementation; perform configuration analysis for small, less-complex system-design projects.
• Analyze system problems and modifications; coordinate implementations and upgrades.

Skills and requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of information-systems experience is required; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of work experience.
• A master’s degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
• Up to one year of clinical patient-care and/or clinical-research experience may substitute month-for-month for one year of required information-systems experience.
