System Engineer

Role and location

Maintenance and team leadership

• Manage airport maintenance staff and supervise work planning, assignments, schedules, overtime, leave and employee performance.
• Manage maintenance work orders through issuance, execution, reporting, follow-up and closure.
• Establish and optimize preventive, planned, corrective and unplanned maintenance activities.
• Maintain records and reports, ensure resources are available, and coordinate additional staffing for unplanned work.
• Prepare Permit to Work requests and required customer-submission documents for Maintenance Manager approval.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure work follows approved procedures, plans and specifications.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and own issues through resolution.
• Identify recurring faults and operational risks, and improve system reliability and maintenance performance.
• Support contract budgeting with cost estimates; recommend capital equipment, replacements and spare parts.
• Coordinate review, control and updating of technical documentation.
• Participate in airport on-call, recall and standby programmes and achieve SLA contract KPIs.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of maintenance experience, including hands-on ALCMS, AGL and CCR experience.
• Strong knowledge of airfield lighting control systems, AGL circuits and CCR operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Able to use standard and specialized tools and follow complex written and verbal technical instructions.
• Able to communicate by radio with the Air Traffic Control Tower and comply with airport vehicle-use rules.
• Able to produce technical reports and recommendations and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors and the airport operator.
• Able to supervise, train, motivate and inspect subordinate employees.
• Excellent knowledge of international safety rules and regulations and good knowledge of applicable ICAO standards.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

• The role is based at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and involves airport maintenance activities.
