The System Delivery Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the end-to-end delivery of IT systems and technology projects.
This role ensures that system implementations are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, acting as the key liaison between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and track the delivery of IT systems and technology projects from initiation to go-live.
- Coordinate between internal teams, third-party vendors, and business units to ensure smooth system rollouts.
- Define delivery timelines, milestones, and resource plans in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Manage system testing cycles including SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT, ensuring defects are resolved prior to go-live.
- Oversee change management activities related to system deployments and upgrades.
- Prepare and maintain delivery documentation including project plans, status reports, and release notes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT governance, standards, and policies during delivery.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Support training and transition activities to enable successful adoption of delivered systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in IT project delivery, systems implementation, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Experience managing end-to-end system implementation projects including ERP, CRM, or custom applications.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are an advantage.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics implementations.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management practices.
- Background in real estate, construction, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
