System / Database Operations Senior Engineer

Purpose of Job Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision. They work within guidelines and procedures in order to prepare more complex, specialized or ad-hoc reports in their related field. They contribute to the completion of milestones or operational targets within the assigned functional area. They undertake operational activities including participating in the development of ZATCA IT systems and database operations guidelines and standards. Participating in the installation, configuration and upgrades of software, hardware, operating systems and processes as planned. Assisting in the implementation of operations and security patches as well as vendors release notes. Troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and providing technical support for incidents and tickets. Monitoring ZATCA systems and applications on a daily basis to ensure proper operation and support with performance reports. Job Resposiblites Assess current ZATCA systems and database operational model, identify gaps and challenges to define IT systems and database operations areas of improvement and stay abreast of the latest trends and standards Oversee all daily work activities of systems and database operations, assess the feasibility of automation to build scripts automating the daily operations of when possible Receive and review change requests related to IT systems and database, monitor the implementation of the requests to ensure that all requests are handled on time Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff Job Details Communication and Contacs Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent is required Experience A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Competencies Collaboration and Communication - Developing Customer Focus - Developing Database Design and Operations - Proficient Enablement of Change and Innovation - Developing Information Systems Knowledge - Proficient Infrastructure Management - Developing IT Compliance - Developing IT Operations Management - Developing Professionalism - Developing Results Oriented - Developing Solving IT Incidents and Problems - Developing
