Responsibilities

Linux Administration & Operations

• Manage and support Linux environments mostly RHEL, Ubuntu ,oracle linux etc.
• Ensure high availability and reliability using Redhat cluster
• Perform Linux performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning
• Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes

Security, Compliance & Hardening

• Implement Linux security best practices including selinux and access controls
• Drive Linux hardening activities in line with organizational standards
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks
• Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls

Patch & Vulnerability Management

• Coordinate and execute patching activities across Linux environments
• Work with enterprise patching tools like satellite
• Maintain and document the patch execution tracker.
• Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports
• Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines

Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams
• Support change management and release activities
• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts

On-Call Support

• Actively participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations
• Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large enterprise or banking environments
• Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks
• Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and automation tools
