Role Description

The System Administration Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.

Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system health, performing routine maintenance, applying patches and updates, and managing user accounts and access controls.

The specialist will diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide timely technical support to internal teams, and document system changes and procedures.

The role also involves collaborating with IT and security teams to implement best practices, improve automation, and support infrastructure upgrades aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong System Administration and Server Administration skills for managing and maintaining enterprise infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose, resolve, and document system issues efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on Linux System Administration skills for configuring, securing, and optimizing Linux-based environments.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls) and system security best practices.
  • Candidates should possess experience with backup and recovery solutions, monitoring tools, and automation/scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in cross-functional teams in Abu Dhabi.
  • Candidates should possess relevant education or certifications such as a degree in IT/Computer Science or credentials like Linux+, RHCSA, or equivalent.
