Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Swimming Pool Technician at the Kempinski Hotel Palm Jumeirah, located in Dubai.
The Swimming Pool Technician will be responsible for the regular maintenance and cleaning of the hotel's swimming pools, including monitoring water quality, performing chemical testing and adjustments, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
The role also involves inspecting and repairing pool systems, addressing minor aesthetic repairs, and adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for all guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in pool equipment maintenance and repair, including pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool systems.
- Knowledge of water chemistry, chemical testing, and proper procedures for water treatment and cleanliness.
- Proficiency in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical or technical issues efficiently.
- Understanding of health and safety standards, including compliance with local regulations related to pools and water quality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times.
- Prior experience in swimming pool maintenance, ideally in a hotel or hospitality setting, is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and possess physical stamina required for the role.
