Sustainability Data & Analytics Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal GHG emissions data, reporting systems, and analytical products.
• Enhance data pipelines, automation, and sustainability data architecture with data engineering teams.
• Write technical specifications, review data models, and oversee code quality for pipelines and dashboards.
• Maintain data governance, quality assurance, and a reliable single source of truth.
• Build monthly dashboards and analytics supporting carbon-reduction insights.
• Support annual carbon-footprint calculations and coordinate external GHG data audits.
• Align stakeholders on requirements, encourage reporting-tool adoption, and support change management.
• Line-manage and coach a Sustainability Senior Analyst.

Must-have experience

• 6+ years in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related technical operational roles; sustainability experience is preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience with modern data-stack tools such as Snowflake, DBT, or Airflow.
• Strong SQL and Python; advanced visualization such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience writing technical specifications, reviewing code or data models, and supporting engineering workflows.
• Project leadership, stakeholder management, communication, organization, and project management experience.

Additional preferred skills

• Exposure to SAP, Workday, ChromeRiver, or JIRA or similar tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of GHG accounting and assurance, Agile practices, advanced Excel, or statistical analysis is a plus.

Workplace expectations

• Regular office or in-person client work is generally expected, typically around 50% of working time, depending on business needs and local policies.
• The role works with the Sustainability Director, Reduce Team, Data Tribe, and technical product and data teams across BCG.
