Role overview
Mid-level Surveyor role requiring 2 to 5 years of experience, independently managing field operations and geospatial data for engineering and construction projects.
Work combines outdoor surveying and indoor data processing, with coordination involving project managers and clients.
Field operations and mapping
- Lead daily on-site surveying and operate robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and 3D laser scanners.
- Process raw field data into AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation models, boundary maps, and topographic surveys.
- Calculate construction staking, earthwork volumes, elevations, and coordinate geometry.
- Research land records, deeds, property titles, and utility maps to establish boundary lines.
Quality and team support
- Train and oversee Junior Surveyors and Field Technicians, including quality control, equipment handling, and safety procedures.
- Compare field measurements with engineering blueprints and resolve discrepancies before construction.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of practical surveying experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and modern surveying equipment.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and lift field equipment.
Pay
- AED 2,000 to AED 4,000 per month.
