Survey Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Process survey data for tenders and projects into grid models and usable survey formats.
• Produce survey drawings, cross-sections, and actual or theoretical volume calculations.
• Prepare supporting documents for dredging and reclamation activities based on survey results.
• Prepare work designs from design information or construction drawings and update changes during project execution.
• Coordinate and supervise data collection efforts.
• Process and analyze survey data to produce maps and reports.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency.
• Report and escalate critical project issues to the Head of Survey.

Work Locations and Safety

• Work locations include the NMDC Base and NMDC project sites.
• The role requires compliance with QA/HSE requirements and procedures.
• Employees are expected to participate actively in the organizational safety program.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least 6 years of experience in related industries is required.
• Experience in dredging and civil marine projects is preferred.

Technical Scope

• Survey-related office and project techniques are part of the role.
• Survey equipment, hardware, and software installation and troubleshooting are considered an asset.
