*Surgical Technologist

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Graduate of an Accredited Civilian or Military Operating Room Technologist/Surgical Technologist program

(BLS) - Basic Life Support certification (obtain within 90 days, offered within)

Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

Must obtain National Certification within 12 months of graduation and maintain certification

Have been employed as a Surgical Technologist in a surgical facility on July 1, 2013 and become certified within one year of start date and maintain certification

Have successfully completed a training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service which has been deemed appropriate by the commissioner and become certified within one year of start date and maintain certification

Certified by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and which is also recognized by both the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists and must maintain certification
