Minimum Qualifications
- One of the following:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
- 15 or more years’ experience working as a Surgical Tech
- Grandfathered into Surgical Tech (911005) prior to 02/12/2017
- Good communications skills
- Record keeping skills sufficient to manage required documentation
- Working knowledge of OR instruments, equipment, and procedures
Licensure, Registration, Certification
BLS
One of the following:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
For incumbents grandfathered into Surgical Tech (911005) position prior to 02/12/2017, current certification as a Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
