Support Systems Engineer
We are seeking a Support Systems Engineer to implement, manage, maintain, and upgrade support systems across the organization, including CCTV, Access Control, Gate Barrier, Parking Management, and other ELV systems.
The role will ensure system reliability, security, compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting operational and business requirements.
System Management & Operations
- Implement, manage, maintain, and upgrade support systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Gate Barrier, and related software platforms.
- Monitor system performance and ensure continuous service availability.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve system incidents and service requests.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and system integrators for project delivery and maintenance activities.
- Participate in technology projects involving support systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, RFPs, and support tendering activities.
- Ensure backup procedures, redundancy solutions, and recovery testing are performed periodically.
- Review maintenance contracts and recommend improvements or renewals.
- Verify completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with organizational information security policies and cybersecurity standards.
- Manage user access rights and permissions for CCTV and Access Control systems.
- Maintain secure storage and retention of system logs, recordings, and sensitive data.
- Coordinate with Information Security teams during audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UAE regulations and industry standards.
Documentation & Technical Drawings
- Maintain accurate system documentation, asset registers, and configuration records.
- Manage and update support systems drawings, layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and as-built documentation.
- Develop and update AutoCAD drawings for CCTV, Access Control, Parking Management Systems, Gate Barriers, and other ELV infrastructure.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Generate operational and performance reports.
- Recommend improvements based on industry best practices and business needs.
- Escalate technical issues where necessary and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Low Voltage Systems certification is an advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience managing ELV systems within a medium to large organization.
