Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Support and Maintenance Engineer role based in Dubai.
The Support and Maintenance Engineer will perform daily diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of EV charging systems and related electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities include conducting routine preventive maintenance, monitoring system performance, and responding to incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
The role involves coordinating with installation teams, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues, update firmware or software, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
The engineer will also document work performed, maintain maintenance records, support root cause analysis for recurring problems, and suggest improvements to enhance system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in electrical or electronic systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power or charging equipment.
- Experience with diagnostics tools, monitoring systems, and basic software/firmware updates for hardware devices or infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, quality procedures, and compliance in field service or industrial environments.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and vendors on technical issues.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time independently, and maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in EV charging, power distribution, or similar field service roles is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site, occasionally outside standard hours, and to travel within the region as needed.
