Role Description
The Supply Manager role at Faisal M.
Higgi & Associates Co.
Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah.
The Supply Manager will oversee end-to-end supply operations, including demand planning, procurement, and inventory control, to ensure materials and products are available on time and at optimal cost.
Responsibilities include keeping constant and timely communication with clients, analyzing sales and usage data, forecasting demand, setting reorder levels, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to align supply plans with project and operational needs.
The role involves strong customer relationship, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving delivery or quality issues.
The Supply Manager will also track key supply chain KPIs, prepare regular reports for management, support process improvements, and ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
A) Qualifications
- Strong Supply Management and Inventory Management skills, with experience overseeing stock levels, replenishment and material availability.
- Ability to grasp the whole picture, take ownerhsip of the department, develop and expand it in different KSA regions.
- Proficiency in Demand Planning, including forecasting, data interpretation, and coordinating demand with operational and project requirements.
- Experience in Procurement, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, optimize inventory, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP or supply chain management systems and strong MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are an advantage.
- 5 years minimum experience in a supply chain, procurement, or inventory management role in shipping, logistics or ship agency.
- Commitment to ethical practices, teamwork, continuous improvement, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
B) Key Responsibilities
- 1.
- Develop and execute the Supply Department's growth strategy.
- 2.
- Coordinate and Cooperate with Ship chandling and procurement department.
- 3.
- Lead business development efforts for the Supply Department.
- 4.
- Coordinate with crews, operators, ship managers, EPC contractors, offshore operators, industrial clients, and government entities.
- 5.
- Develop key account management programs.
- 6.
- Increase repeat business and long-term supply contracts.
- 7.
- Prepare commercial proposals and framework agreements.
- 8.
- Negotiate major supply contracts.
- 9.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop supply department personnel.
- 10.
- Establish clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- 11.
- Build a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- 12.
- Develop succession plans for key positions.
- 13.
- Oversee end-to-end supply operations including:
- RFQ management
- Vendor sourcing
- Purchasing
- Expediting
- Logistics coordination
- Delivery execution
- Documentation
- Customer invoicing support
- Ensure timely delivery of all customer requirements.
- Implement supply chain best practices and SOPs.
- Improve departmental efficiency and responsiveness.
C) Commercial Development
- Identify new business opportunities in:
- -Marine supplies
- -Offshore supplies
- -Industrial procurement
- -Project cargo support services
- -Government and defense sectors
- -Cruise and yacht sectors
- -Establish annual business plans, budgets, and growth targets.
- -Expand market presence across all major Saudi ports.
