Commercial planner accountabilities
- Extract consolidated sales forecasts for commercial products and review monthly forecasts with local and export sales.
- Issue commercial planning reports biweekly.
- Identify purchasing needs and present long-term plans to the Commercial Buying Manager for contract preparation.
- Prepare RFQs for approved suppliers and purchase orders or contracts in coordination with the Commercial Buying Manager.
- Follow up on order release; obtain supplier delivery confirmations; maintain records; coordinate supplier and price matters.
- Coordinate warehouse deliveries and provide original documents to Logistics for customs clearance.
- Prepare timely reports and planning sheets and maintain filing and records.
Demand planner accountabilities
- Prepare daily demand and supply availability reports and monthly MBR and DMR data to maintain the S&OP cycle.
- Prepare and monitor statistical forecasts for local markets; track finished-goods availability and company forecast-accuracy KPIs.
- Recommend actions to improve on-time supply and follow up with supply-team members to deliver required volumes on time.
- Measure delivery-team performance against company guidelines and KPIs and issue monthly reports to the team and line managers.
- Maintain historical data and lessons learned, share data with those who need it, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain is preferred.
- The posting requests 0–2 years of experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role, which appears inconsistent with the planner role.
- Arabic and English communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Hands-on SAP ERP or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications; professional attitude and appearance; multitasking, time management, prioritization, independent work, and customer service attitude.
