Role Description
The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, health, and safety programs that support compliant and safe workplaces for clients.
In this role, you will assess workplace conditions, conduct risk evaluations, and recommend controls to reduce hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
You will create and update EHS policies, procedures, and documentation, and provide guidance on occupational health and workplace safety standards.
The specialist will design and deliver safety training, support incident investigations, track corrective actions, and prepare reports and metrics for internal stakeholders and clients.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and client contacts will be essential to align EHS initiatives with broader compliance and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety, including regulatory awareness and program implementation.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety, with the ability to identify hazards and recommend effective controls.
- Proficiency in Safety Training, including creating training materials and facilitating virtual or in-person sessions.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar) are preferred but not required.
