Responsibilities
- Use planning and scheduling software and procure materials.
- Create and maintain purchase orders in the Canopy system.
- Verify order receipts and deliveries with suppliers and third-party logistics partners.
- Build truckloads to maximize capacity and reduce freight cost per pound.
- Analyze finished-goods specifications to understand bills of materials and production setups.
- Gather and analyze material usage data and maintain the Supply Chain Material Usages Standards worksheet.
- Analyze onsite and offsite warehouse capacity and transfer materials to optimize storage space.
- Plan for production schedule changes and respond to unforeseen issues.
- Enter order pricing and update the system when pricing changes.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in supply chain, production, or material management.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or a closely related field preferred.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing and distribution.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency in math and basic statistics.
- Ability to apply analytical thinking and logic to work-related issues and problems.
