Position overview

Kitchen operations

• Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers; assist with kitchen tasks and provide staff with needed items.
• Determine food presentation and create decorative displays; ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish.
• Monitor prepared food quantities; prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
• Inform Food and Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock, maintain food safety and product logs, and check food quality against specifications.

Team and safety responsibilities

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Address guest service needs, communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet the role’s physical demands.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.

Workplace and schedule

• Located at The St. Regis Residence, Marsa Arabia Island, Doha, Qatar.
