Role overview

Recreation operations and guest safety

• Prepare activity programs and promotional notices using publication software; inventory supplies and report low stock.
• Recruit, register, and schedule guests for activities; explain facilities and activities and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Promote facility rules, monitor activities, identify unsafe participation, and respond to emergencies.
• Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive; clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.

Team and service responsibilities

• Assist management with employee training, motivation, and coaching, and serve as a departmental role model.
• Follow company safety, privacy, quality, appearance, and guest-service standards; support colleagues and shared goals.
• Use computers or point-of-sale systems for work information and communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Desirable qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is desirable.
• One year of related work experience and one year of supervisory experience are desirable.

Required certifications and physical demands

• CPR and first-aid certifications are required, along with recreation equipment and fitness training.
• Certifications or training required by local and state agencies are required.
• The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; lifting and moving items; and navigating stairs and varied surfaces.
