Job Overview

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and workers.
  • Determine how food should be presented and devise decorative food displays.
  • Ensure proper portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of food.
  • Monitor the quantity of food prepared.
  • Inform Food and Beverage service staff on rejected products and special dishes.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute products.
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and food supplies.
  • Maintain kitchen records for food safety and product programs.
  • Ensure food quality and notify manager of non conforming products.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Comply with all safety and company policies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: Degree from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
  • Related work experience: 4 to 6 years.
  • Supervisory experience: At least 2 years.
  • License or certification: None.
