Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Supervisor role based in Doha, Qatar.
The Supervisor will oversee day-to-day site operations for interior fit-out projects, ensuring work is executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
include planning and coordinating tasks for on-site teams, monitoring progress against schedules, and resolving operational issues that may impact project timelines.
The role involves liaising with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth communication and resource allocation.
The Supervisor will also review work quality, verify compliance with company policies and local regulations, prepare basic site reports, and support continuous improvement in site practices and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising interior fit-out or construction sites, with strong understanding of site operations, sequencing of works, and coordination of multiple trades.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements, and translate them into clear instructions for site teams.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices, with a commitment to enforcing safety standards and site discipline.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including daily resource allocation, progress tracking, and basic reporting to management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with project managers, clients’ representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to react quickly to site issues, constraints, and design or scope changes while maintaining quality and schedule.
- Previous experience in interior design, interior fit-out, or related construction fields in the Middle East, preferably in Doha or the wider Qatar market.
- Working knowledge of basic project management principles and familiarity with common office and site documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, site logs).
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site full time, adapt to changing project priorities, and maintain a professional, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
