Job Summary
The Specialty Coffee Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining specialty coffee standards, and supporting the team to achieve operational excellence.
The role involves supervising baristas and service staff, managing shift operations, maintaining quality control, and ensuring a welcoming customer experience aligned with the café brand standards.
Operations Management
- Supervise day-to-day café operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure smooth workflow between bar, kitchen, and service areas.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
Specialty Coffee & Quality Control
- Maintain high specialty coffee preparation standards.
- Monitor espresso extraction, milk texturing, brewing methods, and beverage consistency.
- Support baristas with coffee calibration and quality checks.
- Ensure coffee equipment is maintained and cleaned properly.
- Coordinate with suppliers or technicians for equipment servicing when required.
Team Supervision
- Lead, motivate, and support baristas and service staff.
- Conduct shift briefings and delegate tasks effectively.
- Train new employees on café standards, coffee knowledge, and customer service.
- Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and performance.
- Support management in staff evaluations and development.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and personalized customer service.
- Build positive relationships with regular customers.
- Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation standards are maintained.
- Promote café products and seasonal offerings.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels for coffee beans, milk, syrups, packaging, and other supplies.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock ordering.
- Minimize wastage and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Monitor daily sales and report operational issues to management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in specialty coffee or café operations.
- Previous supervisory experience in a café or restaurant environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation and brewing techniques.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible shifts.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and POS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty coffee certifications are an advantage (SCA or equivalent).
- Experience with espresso calibration and manual brewing methods.
- Food safety and hygiene certification preferred.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
