Program overview

The Summer Vacation Program offers penultimate-year university students an introduction to engineering and consulting and the opportunity to work on city-shaping projects.

Placements are available across Arcadis's national business and project teams.

Program duration

  • The placement runs for 10–12 weeks over November 2025 to February 2026.

Eligible study disciplines

  • Applicants should be studying civil engineering, structural engineering, sustainability or a built-environment-related field such as architecture or science, transport or urban planning, or environmental engineering.

Qualifications and experience

  • Applicants should be penultimate-year university students with valid Australian working rights.
  • The program seeks a can-do attitude, quick learning and adaptability, excellent communication, strong collaboration, and an inquisitive nature.

Program experience

  • Students work with talented teams on award-winning projects, develop professional skills, build a network, and learn from engineers and consultants.

Application

  • Submit a CV and recent academic transcript showing completed units. Shortlisted candidates complete an online behavioural assessment and attend an interview.
