Subject Matter Expert – Retail Trade & Store Operations (English/Arabic – GCC) – Remote

About This Role

About The Opportunity We are looking for experienced Retail professionals to support a cutting-edge AI benchmarking project focused on Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for GCC retail and consumer-facing environments. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will create and review realistic, high-quality scenarios that reflect operational, customer service, sales, pharmacy, loss prevention, and retail management challenges across supermarkets, pharmacies, department stores, luxury retail, shopping malls, and multi-branch operations. Your expertise will help ensure AI systems understand and respond accurately within one of the GCC’s most dynamic commercial sectors.

What You’ll Deliver

• Design realistic Retail Trade scenarios in Arabic or English grounded in GCC operational contexts (e.g., store operations, customer service escalations, inventory management, pharmacy workflows, retail compliance, fraud prevention, sales supervision, branch coordination)
• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for operational problem-solving, customer interactions, retail decision-making, and compliance-related tasks
• Review AI and human-generated responses for factual accuracy, policy compliance, customer service quality, and operational realism
• Contribute to “gold standard” solutions reflecting best practices across GCC retail, pharmacy, and commercial operations

Qualifications

• Native-level Arabic (MSA) with strong professional English proficiency
• 5+ years of professional experience in Retail, Store Operations, Pharmacy Operations, Commercial Management, Loss Prevention, or Retail Investigations
• Background in one or more relevant roles: Retail Sales Supervision, Store or Operations Management, Pharmacist or Pharmacy Operations, Retail Security, Loss Prevention, Fraud Investigation, Customer Experience, or Multi-Branch Retail Operations
• Strong understanding of customer service workflows, retail operations, compliance procedures, inventory management, and GCC retail environments
