Student Services / Admissions Officer
About This Role
The candidate will be responsible for managing student services for all students throughout their entire time studying ; from enrolment to certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact in relation to all student communications.
- Work collaboratively with other internal departments to ensure all student services are implemented effectively and efficiently.
- Liaise between students and other College departments as required to ensure student needs are being met.
- Take responsibility for coordinating student induction programmes, liaising with other relevant departments.
- Monitor student attendance to ensure attendance is in line with College expectations; including managing and communicating student absences accordingly
- Manage formal student feedback processes through student surveys and relevant student committees, analyzing and reporting results.
- Take responsibility for coordinating and facilitating student enrichment activities, in collaboration with other relevant departments.
- Take responsibility for coordinating and facilitating student societies,
- Support the academic administration department in various functions related to student support, information, advice and guidance, record keeping and certification.
- Produce documents, such as letters, minutes and reports, to support College processes as required by the role.
- Contribute to the use of College VLE platforms to provide relevant information and support to students in accordance with the role.
- Treat each student as an individual, understanding that each student has different needs, supporting students by treating them with respect, dignity and empathy.
- To take up any other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
- Liaising with programme leaders to maintain correct information about all active programmes, their start and finish dates.
- Ensuring student data held on Edexcel Online is correct and up to date and follow correct procedures for making amendments
- Registering learners onto the correct programmes on Edexcel Online within 60 days of enrolment on a BTEC course.
- Withdrawing students on Edexcel Online following correct procedures and checks.
- Making certification claims for students following successful completion of their course ensuring correct procedures and checks are followed.
- Maintaining accurate records of students file including deferrals, break-in-studies, progression and completion.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with MIS systems is an advantage
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
