Job Summary/Basic Function

The Athletics Department is seeking a responsible, motivated, and academically successful student to serve as a tutor for student athletes. Tutors play an important role in supporting the academic success of student athletes by providing study strategies and individualized tutoring.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current active student
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be dependable and responsible
  • Clearances are required for this position: PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse, & FBI Fingerprint

Job Duties

  • Provide one-on-one and group sessions for student-athletes in assigned subject areas.
  • Assist student athletes with understanding course content, completing assignments, and preparing for exams.
  • Help students develop effective study habits, note taking strategies, and time management skills.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to academic support services.
