Student Affairs Coordinator

Who We Are NHU-Riyadh is the Saudi branch campus of the University of New Haven, a private, nonprofit university founded in 1920 in Connecticut, USA. Launching in Fall 2026, NHU-Riyadh will bring an American university experience to Riyadh through the same accreditation, faculty standards, and career-focused educational approach that define the University of New Haven. The University’s academic programs are grounded in a long-standing commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary, project-based learning.

NHU-Riyadh is being established to deliver academically rigorous, industry-aligned education that supports Saudi Arabia’s evolving workforce needs.
The Student Affairs Coordinator directly supports student success by working collaboratively with students, faculty and applicable stakeholders to ensure compliance, promote well-being, foster accountability, and support holistic student development.
You Will Student Wellness
- Promote student wellbeing through outreach, resources, and programming.
- Provide initial support and make immediate referrals for students experiencing personal, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Refer students to applicable off campus services based on need.
- Participate in the care team and facilitate student concern processes in collaboration with the main campus.
Student Conduct & Academic Misconduct
- Support the administration of the student conduct process, including behavioral and academic misconduct cases with Dean of Students Office on main campus.
- Document reports of alleged policy violations in collaboration with Dean of Students Office on main campus.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with institutional policies and due process standards.
Co-Curricular Engagement
- Support student involvement in co-curricular activities, development of new student organizations, and student leadership opportunities.
- Advise and support student organizations and campus initiatives.
- Assist with planning and implementation of workshops, training, and engagement programs for students.
Learning Accommodation and Accessibility
- Assist with implementing reasonable academic accommodations for students in conjunction with the Accessibility Resources Center on main campus
- In conjunction with main campus, conduct accessibility training for faculty to ensure timely and effective implementation of approved accommodations.
- Maintain confidential records and ensure privacy and compliance with institutional policies.
Administrative Duties
- Provide administrative support for the college daily operations
- Work closely with faculty, staff, and main campus partners to support student success.
- Provide oversight of programming and training budget
- Participate in policy review, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support orientation, and major campus events as needed.
You Need
- Master’s Degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education field is highly preferred; Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Five plus years of related work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation required; ability to keep track of multiple projects and ensure timely follow-up.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent computer skills including proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Understanding of, or ability to learn, software used for managing student conduct and academic misconduct cases and related documentation.
Compensation, which includes salary and any potential allowances, will be established in accordance with Saudi Arabian compensation framework in conjunction with the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and position.
Any successful candidate for these roles will be processed, on-boarded, and deployed to Riyadh through an outsourcing human resources company contracted by the University of New Haven specifically for this process. All duties will be supervised by New Haven University's administrative staff. Successful candidates will be required to obtain, and appropriately maintain, a Saudi Arabia Visa and related Work Authorizations through the contracted human resources outsourcing company.
