Overview
The Structural Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all building construction projects meet the specified quality standards, codes, and regulations.
The inspector will conduct thorough assessments, inspections, and evaluations of building materials, workmanship, and structural designs to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of construction activities, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
- Perform tests on materials (concrete, steel, etc.) to evaluate structural integrity and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Interpret and enforce building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Participate in site meetings to discuss quality control issues and resolutions.
- Monitor workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Provide reports and documentation to project managers and quality assurance teams.
