Role Description
The Structural Draftsman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai.
The Structural Draftsman will prepare detailed structural and architectural shop drawings in coordination with engineering designs and project specifications.
Daily responsibilities include translating structural calculations and concepts into accurate technical drawings, updating drawings based on engineer and client feedback, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
The role involves coordinating with structural and civil engineers, maintaining drawing documentation and revisions, and supporting the use of BIM tools where required.
The Structural Draftsman will also assist in preparing drawing sets for submissions, structural reviews, and repair projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5-7 years experience as a structural draftsman
- Specialized in drafting reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Have good knowledge in preparation of drawings with proper layouts, ctb, layers, scales,
- etc.
- Have adept experience in creating / modifying / working on 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings.
- Working experience in AutoCAD 3D modelling is a must. Experience in other 3D modelling software is an advantage.
- Fast and efficient drafting is required to meet tight project deadlines.
- Well versed/experienced in preparation of as-built drawings
- Knowledge in basic design / concept of steel and reinforced concrete structures
- Preparation of drawings for Authority Submissions (DCD, DEWA, RTA, DM, ADM, etc).
- Knowledge on the authority requirements on the formats and documents.
- Consultancy experience will be an added advantage
