Role overview
Engineering consultancy in Doha seeks a Structural Design Engineer for building projects.
The role designs safe, efficient, code-compliant reinforced-concrete and steel structures, including high-rise buildings.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and design reinforced-concrete buildings, including high-rise towers of 20 or more stories.
- Develop and review structural calculations, models, and design reports.
- Use ETABS and SAFE for structural modeling and analysis.
- Prepare and coordinate structural drawings with drafting teams.
- Coordinate design integration with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.
- Review and optimize reinforced-concrete and steel systems for efficiency and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and local authority regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 7–10 years of structural design consultancy experience.
- Strong large-scale reinforced-concrete project experience, including high-rise buildings of 20 or more floors.
- Proficiency in ETABS and SAFE; good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and knowledge of steel structural system review.
- Previous GCC experience is mandatory.
- Applicants based in Qatar or the Philippines are preferred.
