Eligibility and Profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least two years of university education completed, typically for 2027 or 2028 graduating classes.
• Demonstrated programming experience through coursework, competitive programming, or side projects.
• Experience with collaborative software projects, open-source contributions, or prior internships is expected.
• Candidates should independently research unfamiliar systems, understand complex architecture, and seek mentorship when needed.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and deploy production software that supports global commerce.
• Contribute to distributed systems and robust services such as service discovery and statistics aggregation.
• Participate in code reviews and write pull requests with comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and intern managers on product features.
• Document code and communicate project status clearly to stakeholders.

Core Technologies and Concepts

• Relevant technologies include Java, Scala, Go, Ruby, and JavaScript, while strong fundamentals are prioritized over a specific language.
• Core concepts include distributed systems, API development, data structures and algorithms, and HTTP protocol mechanics.

Interview Process

• The process includes an online assessment focused on data structures and algorithms.
• The bug squash round evaluates debugging and navigating an unfamiliar codebase.
• The integration and API design round evaluates HTTP requests, JSON parsing, edge cases, and backend service structure.
• The final round covers systems design and behavioral alignment.
