About the Role
We are seeking a
Strategic Consultant
with deep experience in the startup and venture capital ecosystem to support scaling companies on growth strategy, fundraising, market expansion, and operational readiness.
This is a high-trust advisory role designed to work closely with startup founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.
The consultant will help startups transition from early-stage to growth by offering tailored guidance across strategic planning, go-to-market design, investor readiness, and organisational scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise early and growth-stage startups on scale-up strategy, market expansion, and operational planning
- Support development of investor materials: pitch decks, business plans, fundraising narratives, and financial models
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic direction
- Provide guidance on go-to-market models, pricing, product-market fit, and customer acquisition
- Act as a thought partner to founders and VC partners on business model refinement and growth barriers
- Help startups prepare for investor meetings and support due diligence readiness
- Collaborate with incubators, accelerators, or VCs as needed to support portfolio growth
Required Experience and Skills
- 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, venture capital, or startup leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of startup scaling challenges, investment stages, and venture dynamics
- Proven ability to create and critique investor materials and growth strategies
- Excellent business modelling, storytelling, and advisory skills
- Able to work across sectors and adapt quickly to each startup s context
- Strong communication and executive-level stakeholder engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising startups in MENA, preferably based in or familiar with Qatar
- Background working with VCs, accelerators, or startup advisory firms
- Exposure to fundraising cycles, term sheets, and investor relations
- Previous founder/operator experience a strong plus
