Storekeeper

The Restaurant Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining the restaurant's inventory, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies.

The role involves receiving, storing, issuing goods, and keeping an accurate record of stock movement.

The storekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by providing the necessary items promptly and maintaining organized storage.

· Maintain accurate records of all stock levels and inventory movements.

· Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to track items used, damaged, or expired.

· Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies when they reach critical levels.

· Ensure stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out) to minimize waste.

· Receive goods from suppliers and inspect them for quality, quantity, and condition.

· Verify that all received items match purchase orders or invoices.

· Report any discrepancies, damage, or spoilage to the purchasing department or management.

· Properly store perishable and non-perishable items in appropriate conditions (cold storage, dry storage, etc.).

· Organize storage areas to maximize space and accessibility while ensuring proper sanitation and safety standards.

· Label and date all items to track usage and expiration.

· Issue ingredients, beverages, and other supplies to kitchen staff or other departments as needed.

· Ensure proper recording of items issued to maintain up-to-date inventory records.

· Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of supplies.

· Monitor the temperature of refrigeration units and report any malfunctions.

· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in storage rooms to prevent contamination or accidents.

· Maintain updated records of all stock transactions in inventory management software or manual logs.

· Generate regular inventory reports for management.

· Participate in periodic stocktaking activities and report discrepancies.

· At least 1 year of UAE experience in the restaurant field

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

· Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
