Store Keeper

Role overview

Stock receiving and control

• Receive, inspect, verify, and record materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Maintain inventory records and record stock movements; identify, label, code, and store materials in designated locations.
• Issue materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables against approved requests.
• Monitor stock levels, minimum and maximum levels, and reorder requirements; conduct stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor critical plant-operation and maintenance spares, and record damaged, obsolete, surplus, and slow-moving stock.

Coordination, records, and safety

• Maintain storage, preservation, handling, and housekeeping standards, including safe handling of hazardous materials where applicable.
• Coordinate material requirements with Procurement, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, and other departments.
• Prepare stock-status, inventory, and consumption reports; maintain records of receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and disposal.
• Use ERP/CMMS or inventory systems, maintain warehouse records and bin cards, and support internal and external inventory audits.
• Follow company procedures, inventory controls, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Immediate availability to join is required.
• Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Officer, Inventory Controller, or in a similar position is required.
• Wastewater treatment, water utilities, O&M, construction, industrial, or infrastructure-project experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management practices and experience with ERP/CMMS or inventory management systems are required.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and good English communication and documentation skills are required.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills are required.
