Overview
Our client is a globally recognised fine jewellery maison, known for its craftsmanship, heritage, and highly loyal client base.
The brand sits at the very top end of the luxury market, with a strong focus on client relationships, discretion, and long-term value over short-term sales.
They are now looking to appoint a Store Director to lead their flagship boutique.
This is a key position within the region and will suit someone who is used to operating at a very high level, both commercially and in terms of client engagement.
The Role
You will take full ownership of the boutique, leading both the commercial performance and the overall client experience.
This is a hands-on role where visibility on the shop floor is essential, particularly with top clients.
You will also be responsible for building and developing a strong team, ensuring standards remain consistently high across all areas of the business.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Client Advisors, setting clear expectations around performance and behaviour
- Coach individuals on clienteling, sales approach, and product knowledge
- Recruit and retain strong talent aligned with the brand’s positioning
- Maintain a professional, structured, and accountable team environment
Sales & Client Management
- Drive overall sales performance and ensure targets are achieved
- Be actively involved with top clients, including high jewellery and VIP appointments
- Strengthen and grow the boutique’s client base through consistent clienteling
- Ensure a high level of service at all times, in line with brand expectations
Operations & Boutique Standards
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including stock, security, and compliance
- Ensure the boutique is always presented to the highest standard
- Monitor performance and provide regular feedback to senior management
- Maintain strong knowledge of collections and product categories
Brand Representation
- Act as a key representative of the brand within the local luxury market
- Ensure the team reflects the brand image in both presentation and behaviour
- Maintain a consistent and elevated in-store experience
Profile
- 8+ years’ experience within luxury retail, ideally fine jewellery or watches
- Proven experience managing a flagship or high-volume boutique
- Strong track record in driving sales and managing teams
- Confident working with UHNW clients and managing key relationships
- Hands-on, commercially aware, and comfortable leading from the front
- Well-presented, credible, and professional
