Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Store Assistant role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Store Assistant will support daily store operations, including receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials and equipment according to company procedures.
The role involves accurately updating inventory records, labeling stock, and ensuring proper storage to maintain product quality and traceability.
The Store Assistant will assist in preparing orders for dispatch, coordinating with logistics and project teams, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized store area.
The position also includes regular stock checks, reporting discrepancies, and supporting purchasing and operations with timely information on stock levels and material availability.
Qualifications
- Strong inventory handling and material management skills, including receiving, storing, and issuing technical items and spare parts.
- Basic knowledge of storekeeping procedures, documentation, and standard warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to use inventory or ERP systems, spreadsheets, and basic office software for tracking stock and generating reports.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks in a busy store environment.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams, and to follow clear written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and recording materials to minimize errors and stock discrepancies.
- Physical ability to stand, move, and handle moderate lifting in a store or warehouse setting, following safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in a technical, industrial, or engineering store environment (oil & gas, power, utilities, or related sectors) is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in warehouse/store operations is a plus.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, and willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
