Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Storage & Linux Systems Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage environments, Linux systems administration, and SAN infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing storage solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the IT infrastructure.
Storage Administration
- Manage and support enterprise storage platforms, including Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade environments.
- Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and maintain snapshots, replication, data protection, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Execute storage migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Monitor storage health, utilization, and performance metrics.
Linux Systems Administration
- Administer and support Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot OS, hardware, and application-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, LVM, and security policies.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
SAN Infrastructure Management
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Fibre Channel SAN environments.
- Manage SAN switches such as Brocade or Cisco MDS switches.
- Perform zoning, masking, multipathing, and SAN performance tuning.
- Ensure SAN infrastructure availability, redundancy, and compliance with best practices.
- Support storage connectivity across physical and virtualized environments.
Monitoring
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting for storage and Linux environments.
- Generate operational reports and capacity planning recommendations.
Documentation & Support
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, database, and application teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in enterprise storage and Linux administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray and/or FlashBlade platforms.
- Extensive experience administering Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Fibre Channel SAN architecture and SAN switch administration.
- Experience with storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Storage certifications related to Pure Storage.
- Linux certifications such as Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and enterprise backup solutions.
- Experience working in 24x7 production environments.
