Role overview

Steel fixing and quality

• Position and secure reinforcement bars and mesh in concrete formwork according to approved drawings and specifications; interpret blueprints, structural plans, and technical documentation.
• Tie and bind reinforcement to maintain alignment; inspect placement for quality and compliance with project specifications and UAE building codes.
• Check reinforcement against design requirements before concrete pouring.

Site coordination and safety

• Organize steel materials on site; coordinate activities with construction teams, engineers, and supervisors; maintain records of completed work and material usage.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols; identify and report hazards or structural concerns to supervisors.

Required qualifications

• Proven Steel Fixer or reinforcement steel work experience on construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications; knowledge of steel-fixing techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, quality focus, and strong safety awareness.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and work at heights; ability to work effectively with a construction team.

Preferred experience

• CAD software or digital construction documentation experience is preferred.
• Experience on high-rise or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior steel fixers is preferred.
