Statutory Financial Accountant

The role..

Our Finance roles touch every element of our business and that’s why we’re excited to announce that we are looking for a Statutory Financial Accountant to join us on a 5-month Fixed-Term Contract.

This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting an effective and efficient Statutory Reporting process.

You will be working with a number of stakeholders at various levels across a number of locations in our business.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
• Perform analytical reviews of statutory accounts; including detailed balance sheet analysis.
• Work closely with other finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and the business to complete the annual report and accounts to a high standard in line with best practice.
• Build good relationships with our acquired entities and assist them throughout the statutory reporting process.
• Assist in the preparation of the financial statement template for use across the UK.
• Assist with the preparation of central documents that support the statutory accounts.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the external auditors to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• iXBRL Tagging.
• Provide technical advice to other teams as necessary.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects throughout the year.

you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant.
• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK Accounting Standards including FRS 101.
• Experience working within a large matrix commercial organisation.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
