Role overview

The role is for an experienced engineer who wants to deliver end-to-end technical outcomes as an individual contributor and spend substantial time coding.

Work on a small team building AI products for clients and set technical direction while writing code.

Time is expected to be roughly 75% coding and 25% direct client work, often with client CTOs.

What you'll do

  • Set technical direction and write code for client AI products.
  • Own end-to-end technical outcomes as an individual contributor.
  • Work directly with clients to understand problems, discuss tradeoffs, and ensure products meet their needs.
  • Apply software engineering discipline to frontier AI systems and build systems that remain reliable after handoff.
  • Design systems around testable hypotheses and curate durable datasets.
  • Collaborate on applied AI engineering and contribute to team strategy and culture.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of engineering experience and strong care for engineering craft.
  • Experience shipping multiple complete products end to end and writing production-ready code across disciplines.
  • Interest in applying software engineering fundamentals to AI systems and balancing model capabilities with sound system design.
  • Comfort speaking with senior technical stakeholders and caring about end users.
  • High ownership, initiative, and interest in shaping strategy and culture.
  • Low ego, high integrity, and willingness to help others and ask for help.

Location and work arrangement

  • The role is in the UAE.
  • Work arrangement is four days in person and Fridays remote.
