Role Overview
Site Reliability Engineering combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience leading projects.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work effectively with global teams.

Responsibilities
- Improve the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Engineer reliability into software and systems to manage service availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
- Resolve emergent service problems and build software automation to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Review and influence design, architecture, standards, and methods for operating services and systems.
Compensation
- US compensation is listed as $207,000 to $300,000 USD, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
- Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
