Role overview
The Staff Software Engineer will build backend services and a unified identity security control plane for AI agents.
The role emphasizes distributed systems, secure and scalable access, least privilege, and AI-augmented engineering workflows.
What you'll do
- Shape technical strategy and build runtime authorization for agent requests at the gateway and agent-to-resource connection.
- Develop policy authoring, schema validation, delegated identity validation, and secure forwarding of user identity.
- Contribute to MCP, OAuth token exchange, agent identity specifications, and reference implementations.
- Build comprehensive audit logging and improve AI-native development practices, CI/CD, observability, documentation, reliability, and support.
- Partner with Product and Design on customer outcomes and mentor peer engineers.
